Front Range Helicopters offers individual coursework and group CFI classes at our Loveland (KFNL) facility. Our location offers an excellent opportunity to get flight time and training at altitude along the Front Range of Colorado. Our helicopter flight school boasts an extensive CFI program with the finest equipment and the best instructors. Not only do we prepare you for your written exam and your check ride, but we ensure that you will be ready to get into the helicopter with your first flight training students by the time you have completed our program.

Our solid ground school component includes training on the FLYIT helicopter training simulator. This will allow you to get plenty of time in the cockpit with real students, while you practice talking through maneuvers in a safe and low-stress environment. The FLYIT is a great aviation tool that allows you to practice your teaching skills and get a feel for how students will react at the controls. Not only does it build confidence but it offers a fantastic CFI training experience as well.

Pre-flight and post-flight briefings and classroom teaching instruction are included in our program, so you’ll be prepared for these aspects of your new helicopter pilot job.
